COVID-19

Dear patients,

In the face of this unprecedented public health epidemic, Grove Dentist has been closely monitoring the developing situation of COVID-19 in Minnesota and in the Unites States, and has taken supplementary measures to ensure the safety of all our patients, their families and our staff, following the guidance of the governing authorities in charge as it becomes available to us on a daily basis (the CDC Center for Disease Control, the MBD Minnesota Board of Dentistry, the MNDA Minnesota Dental Association). Today, Monday March 17th at noon, we have been notified by our regulating authorities, to suspend elective, non-emergency dental treatments, for 10 days March 17th until March 27th, to ensure the safety of our patients and employees at the same time, while still provide emergency care and services, as needed, until more information becomes available.

While Dr. Alb Florin and all the amazing staff at Grove Dentist, were looking forward to treating and solving the dental problems of our patients, it is vital that we all play our part in combating the spread of COVID-19, and encourage others to do the same. A situation of this magnitude is unprecedented for our organization and for our community, and we are following the lead of our city, state, and federally elected officials in making this choice, in line with Governor Tim Walz’s recent Declaration of a State of Emergency, schools closing and the call for seniors over 65 and residents with chronic conditions to self-isolate at home. COVID-19 has negatively affected so many services and industries, that we are sure our letter will be just one of many others from dental and medical offices around the Twin Cities at this time of trouble.

We will provide ONLY patients with real dental emergencies, the needed treatment, so that they avoid over-crowding the emergency rooms at the hospitals, as we are trying to play our part and help out in this times of uncertainty and distress.

If you are in severe pain and risk of infection, please call our office 763-420.8038 or email us: [email protected], for emergency appointments, Monday March 17th through Thursday March 27th, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please answer with total honesty the 5 questions we are using to scanning patients who might have had any previous exposure.

If you get an emergency appointment with our office, please:

  • have your cell phone with you so we can communicate closely so you can follow closely our new operating procedures put in place;
  • please remain in your car and wait until we call you, only after any other emergency patient has left the office through the back door;
  • please leave all your belongings (Jacket, big bags) in the car, only take phone and wallet;
  • please walk in only through the front door and follow our staff instructions; please help us to keep you, your family and our staff and their families safe!

At times like this of major distress and disruption of a national and international pandemics, Dr Alb and all his dedicated staff feel the need to contribute as everyone should play their part in making this work so we can come out stronger in the end.

Thank you for trusting us with your dental treatment!
Dr Florin Alb
